This hotel is next to Ganga river and close to the most important ghat. It is not a luxury place but has all one requires from a hotel. Staff is very helpful in arranging transportation, river cruises and sightseeing. As the hotel is neither accessible by taxi nor by rickshaw do contact them before arrival. They will arrange transportation from airport or railway station at reasonable price. Do not try to save money here.

Nice hotel near the 64 ghaat. Location is great if you want a quick access to the Ghat and the Ganga. You have to walk 500mt from the main road while reaching there which might be a challenge for elderly people but the hotel provides assistance to carry the luggage. The road to the hotel gives real flavour of lanes of Kashi. The waiting lounge is impressive and very well decorated where you can spend a lot of time. The rooftop where the restaurant is located have a great view of the Ganga and the ghats and best part of the property. River view rooms are really good, but non river view rooms have no sunlight and no window as well so a little damp. So go for the river view ones if you want a great experience , nevertheless the room amenities are good and the staff is very hospitable. Food is really good and suits all your needs. They arrange for boat rides and sight seeing tours as well. Definitely a good stay for a vacation.

Positives: Hospitality and behaviour of the staff. The guides provided hassle free visit to and from the Kashi Vishwanath mandir, special mention of Neeraj ji and Golu ji. The complimentary breakfast and other food served at the hotel was top class. Negatives: The location was quite problematic. Can not blame the hotel for that though. One can obviously enjoy the view of the Ganges from their rooms, but the way to the hotel from the main road is not something one would enjoy on a regular basis. I'd recommend this hotel but not during peak holiday seasons.

The hotel has a very good location and a wonderful view. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. The room smelled bad and there was no way to ventilate because the terrace was closed with glass, I guess because of the monkeys. Linen and towels are also very worn and need to be replaced with new ones. Internet is weak and does not always turn on. We had agreed with the man at the reception for breakfast at 7:25am but it wasn't ready until 7:45am when we had to leave for the airport and we had a quick bite to eat only bananas

We arrived very late at night, we called and they came to pick us up at the station, they gave us dinner and it was appreciated. The service is very good, attentive and willing to help. It is right next to the river, very well located.

We had a wonderful stay at the Omkar Palace. This was our second time staying there, and we highly recommend it to others. The manager and staff are very knowledgable, and took us to everything we wanted to see. We had very limited time in Varanasi, and would not have been able to do everything we wanted to without the Omkar Palace manager and staff. The food is also cery fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back and refer Omkar Palace to others.

What makes this hotel a wonderful experience is the outstanding service. I stayed here for 3 nights with family and the staff and manager consistently went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Whether it was planning trips around Varanasi, helping and accompanying us with activities around the ghats area or recommending food and shopping outlets, they took care of it all. They were also flexible to accommodate a last minute stay extension due to our flight timing. The food is excellent (we only had the vegetarian fare), rooms are good and the proximity to the ghats/river is a great advantage. The only flip side is that the access to the hotel goes through narrow lanes (about a 10 min walk from the main road) which can be uncomfortable for some people especially when it is wet and rainy but the staff does their best to help move around through them. Overall, the service and the opportunity to see the river bank up close are the biggest differentiators.

Everything was awesome. I was not expecting such clean rooms at all. The room we took was their lowest priced one and even that was great. The only reason for giving 3 stars to location is because of the walk needed to reach the hotel. However that is so for all hotels if you really want to be close to the Ghats as well as Vishwanath temple and Ganga aarti. Would not suggest it for old or people with difficulty in climbing stairs but for everyone else, pls go ahead and enjoy your stay here. Foods options might be limited but that depends on personal choice. We did not have food at the hotel as the hotel serves both Veg and non-Veg. Special thank to the hotel boys...they are very supportive and helpful.
